Annotation:
The aim of the dissertation is to investigate responsibility education of future professionals at the university. Theoretical analysis of the concept of professional and responsibility as well as professionals’ education features at the university was made. It led to the construction of the theoretical model for responsibility education of professionals at the university (BPAUU). The model includes general education factors in microenvironment, responsibility education in study process, the future professional’s expression of responsibility. Empirical research was made using mixed methods research strategy, qualitative and quantitative research methods were combined. The theoretical model for the future professionals’ responsibility education at the university was modified according to the results of the empirical research, including personal characteristics of a lecturer and study methods that help students to educate their legal liability and social responsibility. The study process of the model was supplemented with students’ practical activities and after class activities. The expression of responsibility was supplemented with future professionals’ behaviour in critical situations, the perception of citizen and professional responsibility. The results may be of benefit for future professionals’ legal liability and social responsibility education at the University. The results can also be used to improve the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, analyze the adequacy of the qualification skills while performing socially sensitive professions roles, the motivation of profession choice, professionals’ environment and their responsibility.
