26 September Europe celebrates the European Day of Languages. Among the events, organised by the European Commission Representation in Lithuania are poetry readings, which take place in many Lithuanian cities.
“Readings of Lithuanian poetry translated in languages of people who live in Lithuania, and read by them is a perfect example of the variety of languages existing in our country”, says Egidijus Zaikauskas, a representative of European Commission in Lithuania.
Grab a friend and head to Knygų ministerija – a book shop and cafeteria. Readings start at 6pm.
