Annotation: This research work is focused on development of self sensing 3D woven composites and multiaxial composites. Carbon nanotubes and Mxene nanoparticles were infused in 3D woven glass preforms to develop self sensing smart composites which can detect strain and damage in-situ. In addition, a novel method of manufacturing multiaxial composites was developed, their mechanical properties simulated and evaluated. The thesis summarizes the materials used, methods of manufacturing and testing, results achieved and their conclusion.
