The course will focus on nuclear synthesis, the impact of radiation on structural materials, nuclear cycle chemistry, thermal hydraulics, nuclear and radiation safety and other subjects.
Lithuania has an experience in nuclear energy field and structure needed for nuclear and radiation safety, scientific and research background and enough nuclear physics and nuclear engineering professionals with university education.
Continuous accumulation and renewal of knowledge is an important factor for planning to build Baltic regional nuclear plant in Visaginas. The course organised by Tokyo Technology Institute (TTI) and Hitachi with Kaunas University of technology (KTU) contributes significantly in expanding and updating much needed skills and knowledge.
