The session “Making New Knowledge Work for Business and Society” is a part of the Thematic University-Business Forum “Developing Talents for Innovation-based Economies”.
This forum looks at how to bridge the gap between education and business. What makes universities attractive to business partners and what attracts universities to business? How can deeper links between business and education address skills gaps and growing competition for talent? How can we create the conditions for sustained long-term partnerships?
In this session various examples cover successful cases on business and education working together to address societal challenges. How new knowledge is transferred to education, technology development and business? How to foster research integration into learning and to strengthen HEI role in creating the knowledge-based society?
