Annotation:

In this work several groups of donor-acceptor compounds characterized with intra- or intermolecular charge transfer were designed and investigated. Four new donor-acceptor tetrafluorostyrene based monomers and polymers were synthesized. The effect of donor strength on photophysical, electrochemical and thermal properties of the monomers and polymers was investigated. Bipolar quinoline and carbazole derivatives were found to form versatile exciplexes and were applied in white OLEDs. The study showed that donor-acceptor and donor-π-acceptor derivatives of quinoline and di-tert-butyl phenothiazine showed dual emission, delayed fluorescence and mechanoresponsive emission. In this study three new compounds containing cyano carbazolyl moiety with high triplet state energies were investigated as exciplex forming compounds.
