Celebration of the start of the new academic year

Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Lithuanian Sports University, and Vytautas Magnus University invite you to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year together.

This year, the event will start at 2 p.m. with a joint oath-taking ceremony in the courtyard of the Historical Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania (Vilniaus str. 33).

Later, the students will march towards Independence Square, led by the KTU brass band The BrassBees. The main event of the celebration will take place here and will be crowned by a festive concert featuring the joint university choir and the singer GJan.

Detailed programme:

• 2 p.m. Participants of the procession gather in the historic courtyard of the President of the Republic of Lithuania (Vilniaus str. 33)
• 2 p.m.–2:15 p.m. Students’ oath-taking
• 2:15 p.m.–3 p.m. Procession of the University community (from the Historical Courtyard of the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania along Laisvės al. to Independence Square)
• 3 p.m.–4 p.m. Celebration concert in Independence Square with the joint university choir and GJan!
