Artist Residency at Kaunas Biennial 2015

Kaunas University of Technology is a partner of one of the largest cultural events in Lithuania – the festival Kaunas Biennial 2015. This Saturday KTU’s Culture Centre (Laisvės Avenue 13) will host two out of four events of the artist residency Contemporary Encounters: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sound, Memory and Place.

Curated and organised by Kaunas Biennial 2015, the Residency is being held between 21 September and 4 October 2015. Using Kaunas unique architectural heritage (specifically focusing on disused textile factories) as the main source of inspiration, the participating artists have been working in groups producing collaborative sound and audiovisual installations as well as performances. The final Residency artworks can be witnessed between 3 and 4 October.

8.00pm Opening of the exhibition Contemporal Encounters. Mykolas Žilinskas Art Gallery

Tickets to the paid events for KTU students possessing a valid student ID are 3 EUR.
