Annotation:

After a comprehensive academic literature investigation, it appears that factors influencing customer behaviour in eHealth use is highly unexplored. Therefore, this dissertation aims to solve the scientific problem: what factors influence customer behaviour in eHealth use and how to evaluate the economic effects of using it.
The dissertation provides a new research model incorporating and evaluating factor groups influencing customer behaviour in eHealth use from the economic point of view. This particular model expands the perception of eHealth and enriches the previously published academic methods. Moreover, the methodology applied for the model enables to evaluate the significant factors for customer behaviour in eHealth use from the economic point of view in future researches. To the best knowledge of the author, it is one of the first attempts of such research. The proposed methodology is academically specific and unlike others, since the structural framework was verified through an analytic hierarchy process, logistic regression and principal component analysis integrating experts’ and public survey. This study may contribute to future academic investigations which aim to examine the factors influencing customer behaviour in eHealth use and its implementation. The conducted research has important economic implications of eHealth system development.
