This conference is a significant international event and every year attracts participants from all over the world (in 2014, 62 participants out of total 138 were from abroad).
The event is organised not only by Lithuanian institutions (Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius University, Center for Physical Sciences and Technology), but also with the help and active involvement of scientists from Riga Technical University (Latvia), University of Latvia and Tartu University (Estonia).
This year lectures for the young researchers will be given by the best scientists from USA, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, France and Lithuania. Also there will be a poster session, in which participants will be able to present results of their own research works.
The conference-school helps to educate common and technical competences of PhD students and to develop productive international collaboration.
“This conference is a great opportunity for young researchers to communicate with each other, hear about new research from the best specialists from the fields of physics, chemistry and materials science”, – says the chairman of the organising committee of the conference-school Prof. Sigitas Tamulevičius.
