How to become an Exchange Counsellors?

KTU EXCHANGE COUNSELLOR programme is an initiative of KTU International Relations Department aiming at:

  • Disseminating positive experience on academic exchange abroad;
  • Encouraging KTU students to go on academic exchange abroad;
  • Deepening intercultural knowledge, increasing cultural inclusion and diversity.
  • Earn a grant and a digital badge for the skills gained;
  • Develop interpersonal, social media, public speaking and intercultural skills;
  • Build more confidence;
  • Enhance your CV.

We expect you to be enthusiastic, inspired and proactive. You need to have/show the following qualities:

  • Willing to demonstrate and share your positive attitude towards academic exchange experience and intercultural knowledge;
  • Able to communicate with other students efficiently in written and oral form;
  • Passionate about making pictures, videos and writing short posts;
  • Enjoy using Social Media;
  • Responsible and have good time management skills;
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner.

You will be our voice among your fellow KTU students! Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reflecting and conveying your experiences of academic exchange;
  • Consulting KTU students on academic exchange (through participating in various events and through an chat platform – Unibuddy in a timely manner;
  • Assisting in organizing events for the Academic Exchange Office of KTU International Relations Department;
  • Participating in trainings and meetings with the Academic Exchange Manager;
  • Creating and managing videos and posts about your or other exchange students experience;
  • Managing videos and posts of other exchange students;
  • Assisting in delivery of KTU Intercultural learning course for exchange students.

Every student or a recent graduate of any study cycle and any programme at KTU who has participated in an academic exchange (studies or internship) abroad and willing to share his / her exchange experience with other KTU students can take part in the programme.

 

Fill in the questionnaire (application is open all year round). We will contact the selected candidates and arrange an interview to get to know you better. Once you successfully complete the interview, we will invite you to become a KTU Exchange Counsellor and start to work in a close collaboration with Academic Exchange Office of KTU International Relations Department.
