Announcement of a Competition for Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities of Kaunas University of Technology

The candidates are expected to have competence in theoretical and empirical research in the field of political science (especially international relations) studies.

• PhD in the area of Social Sciences or Humanities (applicants must have obtained the PhD in another institution than Kaunas University of Technology and no more than seven years before the start date of the fellowship);
• Competencies set out for the career stage of Recognised Researcher;
• At least 2 international-level scientific papers*;
• Excellent spoken and written English (at least level C1).

* International-level scientific paper in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences is a paper published in a scientific journal that is in the first, second or third quartile (Q1-Q3) of the relevant group of journals in the WoS SSCI or Elsevier Scopus database.

Offered salary: 28,050 Eur annual gross salary (i.e., before taxes) and an additional 1,500 Eur per year for funding research-related missions.

• A free-form request to participate in the competition (addressed to the Rector of Kaunas University of Technology);
• A curriculum vitae with contact information of two academic references provided;
• A postdoctoral fellowship research plan (outlining the topic of the planned research, its description, aim, objectives, results, etc.);
• A description of academic activities for the position of Researcher (in the research areas of Humanities and Social Sciences) according to the qualification requirements established in the Guidelines for the Organisation of Performance and Competency Evaluation, Certification and Competitions for the Job Positions of Teachers and Researchers at Kaunas University of Technology;
• A declaration about the researcher’s available mandatory competencies for the career stage of Recognised Researcher;
• A copy of the PhD diploma;
• A list of scientific publications (in a free format, including full bibliographic descriptions and DOIs (if any));
• Additional documents and material proving the candidate’s scientific activities, qualifications, and required competences.
